Bridal Fantasy celebrated its 15th anniversary issue of its magazine and 35th anniversary of its bridal show in Edmonton and Calgary in January 2016. This issue also marked our first feature in the magazine — an article we wrote outlining why you need to hire a wedding planner (pages 34-35), as well as a real wedding feature displaying Mahsa & Artem’s multi-cultural wedding (pages 36-37). The magazine is now available on retail shelves across Western Canada and can also be found online.
In the meantime, find out WHY YOU NEED TO HIRE A WEDDING PLANNER
Whether you’re hosting an intimate wedding for 20 or an extravagant soirée for 500, it is advisable to consult with a professional wedding planner and designer for expert advice. Even if it isn’t within your budget to commission a wedding planner for full coordination and design services, it is advantageous to employ a planner for wedding day management services, or at minimum attend a few hourly consultations to navigate all of the wedding related questions you have to put your mind at ease. After all, planning the wedding of your dreams can be overwhelming!
With the internet so easily accessible, family members and friends readily available with advice and opinions, and local wedding trade shows, everyone has access to wedding planning resources; however, this plethora of information can be difficult to evaluate and sometimes it’s hard to determine what you and your partner want. An experienced planner will have a wealth of knowledge available to you — they will listen to you and take your vision and your budget into consideration, and will provide you with information as it pertains to you specifically. A professional planner will continue to educate themselves on a variety of fields within the wedding industry and will take care in building relationships with the best vendors. A planner is better able to assist with finding vendors most suitable for a client when they understand what each type of wedding vendor does and the services that they provide. As such, a planner will be able to make recommendations based on budget, product, and quality of service.
When you procure the services of an established wedding planner to work with you from the onset of planning through to coordinating your wedding day, you are ensuring that you have one individual designated to be the primary contact between yourself and all vendors, act as a Google filter throughout the planning process, and propose service providers suitable to your realistic expectations and budget. Having a wedding coordinator onsite for your wedding day will alleviate unnecessary stress and ensure that you and your guests can simply enjoy the wedding day events. Overall, a wedding planner will enhance your wedding planning experience and they will ensure that your dreams become a reality.
