Editorial

Rebecca holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in English and Comparative Literature from the University of Alberta (2012) and in 2010 launched her career as a freelance writer. Through this endeavor, Rebecca has obtained vast experience in the publishing industry — so much so that she has been commissioned for numerous speaking engagements to teach students of varying levels about the publishing industry as it pertains to the wedding industry. HIGH CULTURE: EDITORIAL provides freelance writing and editing services, as well as small business brand development.

Rebecca was contracted to write her first published article in 2010 — a piece for the Spring | Summer 2011 issue of Blush Magazine, an Alberta based wedding and lifestyle magazine. Following the publication of this article — “The Marriage of Food & Fine Wine” — Rebecca became a regular contributing writer for Blush and has had the privilege to interview celebrity leaders of the event industry including: fashion designer Reem Acra, sweet stylist Amy Atlas, wedding and event designer Preston Bailey, and lifestyle guru and party planner Colin Cowie.

In 2012, Rebecca obtained the privilege of becoming an internationally published writer, with her first of many editorials in RAGMAG — Lebanon’s leading social, educational, and entertainment magazine. With a second commission from RAGMAG, Rebecca landed herself a seven page human interest piece on celebrity fashion designer Tory Burch.

In 2014, Ruffled published a love story authored by Rebecca, alongside a featured wedding by HIGH CULTURE: WEDDINGS & SPECIAL EVENTS.
